Exchange Server 2007, the server of message sending and e-mail-based team work, was constructed in order to make it easier to be adequate to the stricter security requirements of our times. Exchange 2007, which runs on the Windows Server system, contains several new functions that enhance reliability, supervision, and security.

With the help of Outlook Web Access and a web browser the message sending function of Exchange Server can be extended safely through the Internet to the whole Web. Outlook Web Access can run in any web browser and it allows access to the Exchange mailbox.

The “Outlook anywhere” service of Exchange 2007 enables Outlook 2007 and Outlook 2003 to establish connection with the Exchange server through the Internet by using remote process call through the HTTP (HTTPS) protocol, which is one of the network management components of Windows. Thus, there is no need for Virtual Private Network (VPN) connection with the company network because the system provides all functions of Outlook.

Exchange ActiveSync enables mobile phones with the necessary features to access and synchronise e-mails, call cards, calendar notifications, and tasks. With the introduction of the combined message sending service at the company, the synchronisation of voice messages and faxes attached to the incoming messages will also be possible.
